Project Overview
ITDG completed a comprehensive Property Improvement Plan for Hotel Becket in early 2019. The 164-room boutique property at 4003 Lake Tahoe Blvd is part of Best Western's Signature Collection and sits near Heavenly Village and the Heavenly Gondola in South Lake Tahoe.
The owner's priority was to retain the property's rustic, mountain character throughout the renovation. The PIP encompassed full updates to guest rooms and suites—Heavenly King, King Suites, Double Queen, and Family Suites—as well as the lobby, registration and entrance areas, and on-site Becket Tavern. New finishes, furnishings, and targeted electrical and plumbing work were selected and executed to meet brand standards while preserving the rustic look and feel that guests expect in Lake Tahoe. The hotel remained operational throughout the improvement period.

Project Objective
The property needed a full PIP across 164 rooms and key common areas—lobby, registration, tavern—while honoring the owner's clear directive: retain the rustic look. Renovations had to meet Best Western Signature Collection standards without stripping the mountain-lodge character that defines the guest experience.

ITDG worked closely with the owner to choose finishes, materials, and details that refreshed the property and met brand requirements while preserving its rustic identity. Our team delivered room and common-area renovations—including Becket Tavern and outdoor fire pit areas—with a consistent mountain aesthetic, ensuring the hotel felt updated yet unmistakably Tahoe.
