Project Overview
ITDG completed a comprehensive Property Improvement Plan for DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix North in mid 2021. The 284-room, five-floor property at 10220 North Metro Parkway East (including 19 suites) serves business and leisure travelers in North Phoenix, with extensive meeting and event space.
The PIP included full renovations to guest rooms and suites—king rooms, junior suites, patio suites—and common areas: hotel lobby and lobby desk, foyer, bar, buffet bar, Made Market (24-hour market), guest store, ballroom and ballroom foyer, Canyon Ballroom and classroom spaces, boardroom, conference rooms and guest dining/seating, meeting and business areas, and fitness center. Work encompassed new finishes (flooring, paint, millwork), updated bathrooms, and targeted electrical work. The property remained operational throughout the renovation.

Project Objective
Executing a full PIP for a large, operating hotel with 284 rooms and extensive meeting space required renovating guest rooms, suites, lobby, F&B, ballrooms, and conference facilities while meeting DoubleTree brand standards and keeping the hotel open for guests and events.
Our Approach
ITDG phased the work in coordination with ownership so the hotel could continue welcoming guests and hosting events. Our team delivered room and common-area renovations—new finishes and electrical updates—across the property, ensuring a smooth refresh that met Hilton brand requirements with minimal disruption to operations.
