Project Overview
ITDG successfully completed the transformation of an outdated extended-stay hotel into GoodHomes Groton, a vibrant 112-unit multi-family residential community located in Groton, CT. Originally built as a hotel, the property consisted of 53 spacious one- and two-bedroom apartment-style units, each with full kitchens and large living areas, alongside 59 expansive studio apartments. ITDG’s redevelopment expertise was instrumental in converting the structure to better meet the needs of modern renters, enhancing both the building’s functionality and aesthetic appeal. The project also included extensive upgrades to the infrastructure, ensuring that the property provides a comfortable and efficient living experience for its residents.
The redevelopment of GoodHomes Groton also focused on creating an array of high-quality amenities to foster a sense of community. The main building now houses a clubhouse and game room, a business center with co-working spaces, a fitness center, bike room, and tenant storage lockers. In addition, a golf simulator is available for residents to enjoy. The property boasts over 10,000 square feet of repurposed event space, which has been transformed into additional tenant amenities. Outdoor features include a pickleball court, BBQ area, and beautifully landscaped grounds, offering residents a comprehensive and enjoyable living environment that aligns with contemporary lifestyle needs.
